In either direction, and police are telling us this happened shortly before 8 00 last night, and it appears, they say that the 20yearold was either walking alongside the roadway, or for whatever reason trying to cross these lanes of traffic when an suv struck her, and that driver kept on going, and investigators spent hours at the scene, collecting evidence and processing the scene, and they had it shut down until about midnight, and police this morning are now looking for a black toyota suv with severe frontend damage, and they are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash or may have any information about that driver to give police a call, and again, that 20yearold woman in Critical Condition at Hackensack Medical Center this morning. Vandals are opening fire with bb guns and targeting homes and businesses in Nassau County, and theres been 17 shootings in several towns.
