went on behind those walls. you wanna hear some gossip? pwell, there is a 300 year old ghost that lives on the third floor. pa lot of scandal went on in there, a lo t of affairs. and if you wanna hear the whole story, they have a tour called "the untold story." and that's where you hear all the dirt. p outside the palace there are over 2,000 acres of landscaped yard and gardens p designed by the 18th century landscape architect "capability" brown. everything here in blenheim is oversized. including the library which holds over 10,000 books and a huge pipe organ. (organ music playing) they nicknam ed this room "the gym." because in the old days p the ladies would walk the entire library for exercise. p blenheim palace is one of the finest baroque houses in the country. p and a perfect example of the grandeur that could once be bestowed by the queen. wow. p another popular place for filming movies is also an actual historic location. making the productions even more authentic. the weald and downland open air museum in sussex takes you back to england's more rural history. located outdoors, the museum is made up of 50 historic buildings. including tudor farmhouses rescued from destruction p in various places all over england. and they were rebuilt here. tudor england was mostly a farming society where people lived in small villages. so here re-enactors bring to life the chores of day to day living. p s at your leisure p the bedrooms, and of course the privies. privacy, please. up next, iconic london sights seen on the big screen. -you see it. (laughing) laura mckenzie's traveler will be right back. p don't forget to join us p visiting london is like traveling through time. p going forward from the palaces and castles of historic england p to the modern age of fascinating vacation destinations for all ages. p the city of london isn't just popular with the tourists, p it's a favorite looking to capture for th e big screen. can you get? a really fun way to see the sights of these movie and tv l ocations p to see where some of your favorite films were made. so i decided to hop on this mini-bus to the movies. htseeing tour. so we take people around tours but with a twist. we talk about films. so if you've never been to london before, all you know about it pis what you've seen either on the big cinema screen or on your tv set at home. pso we take you to these locations to show you what they really are, p we show you what it was used for in the film p we get to watch tv clips, we get to get off the bus and see them up close and find out all about london. ptoday, we're on a little mini coach with 16 seats in it. p little microphone so it's really nice and intimate, we can watch clips from the films, and then we can either as we drive past them, por we can get off and have a closer look at them. mckenzie: first stop, westminster abbey. one of the oldest buildings in london. it's the site of lots of onscreen moments including key scenes from the da vinci code. and i have to agree with joey from friends, p "westminster abbey, hands down, is the best abbey i've ever seen." then it's back on the bus enroute to parliament. pblackburn: we get to see scenes from ha rry potter, and james bond, from bourne ultimatum. pfrom sherlock holmes, from snow white and the hu ntsman. p basically great big blockbusters films are filmed right here in london, in the capital. pwe're right by parliament. this is where our governme nt is run from. and you probably recognize it... p-you've probably seen it in lots of films. -oh, yeah. if you've seen the fifth harry potter, you'll remember the order of the phoenix flew past it as they were going down the river thames. if you know v for vendetta, that is a film about blowing up parliament. p and they got permission to film right here b y parliament. p now, i won't spoil the end and if you've seen 102 dalmatians, you'll know it's the really iconic sound p of the big ben's bongs that make the people go crazy and change. p and right at the end, cruella de vil is right by parliament pwhen suddenly she says, "ella is gone and cruella is back." (laughing) pmckenzie: scenes from select movies are shown on the bus before you arrive to the destinations to really get you in the mood. so here we are outside waterl oo underground station. and this was used in the bourne ultimatum. simon ross, the journalist, he comes out right here and he gets a phone call, on a phone that is not his own. and he's told pso he is told, the silver chrysler voyager "with grab-team b." pup there the man in the static post watching him, and he is to go to the b us stop 50 meters to his left, right there. he's been told all of this by matt damon, p who is right up above us on this walkway. this is a great location pbecause it was actually filmed right here, on the streets of london. -you see it. (laughing) mckenzie: dating back to 1123, p st bartholomew the great is the oldest church in london. and the most filmed in church as well. this gorgeous location was recently in warner bros. sherlock holmes. and universal's snow white and the huntsman. and is the chosen location of the one and only miss piggy's pink-themed wedding. one warner bros. studio tour, one palace tour, one tudor home tour and one brit movie tour. and there is still more to experience in london. pyou wanna do something really english. stop into a pub. everybody comes in for a conversation, a pint of beer and pub grub. now that is great. you can get a ploughman's lunch, you get a meat pie, so terribly british. pyou know what, every one of these pubs has a story. how about a nice pint of british brew and some bangers and mash. oh, yeah. still so much to see. st. james park and trafalgar square. and the national gallery. and lots of pigeons. p head over to notting hill if you haven't busted your shopp ing budget. p the famous saturday morning antiques market on portobello road is where you'll find loads of pre-loved treasures p displayed on outdoor tables just waiting to be brought to a new home. pthis is the largest ethnic weekend marke t in london. pif you want indian, jamaican, west indian, arts, crafts, whatever. you can find it here if you're willing to do a little bit of haggling and fight the crowds. who knows, you could find treasure. t, iconic london. the tower bridge, london's most misidentified landmark, because, no, it's not the london bridge. the tower bridge in the late 1800s to relieve the london bridge of the traffic jams over the thames. here's narrator: will be right back. and tips on my favorite travel destinations, visit me online at lauramckenzietv.com. you want i fix this mess? because my voice is giving out. >> okay. maybe i should just interpret for you. some point. >> you tell me what you want to say, i will tell the viewers. >> we have to work it that way. >> i'm here for you. >> did you see we had president obama giving reassurances to the public hoping to ease fears after last week's deadly terror attack in san bernardino. >> of course, the president delivered a rare primetime speech promising to step up attacks on isis while making it clear the fight is not between america and islam. our coverage begins with abc's jonathan karl at the white house. oval office address of his in california and paris bluntly saying what happened in california was a terrorist act. he said we are at war with terrorists and have been since 9/11. >> as commander in chief, i have no greater responsibility than the security of the american people. as a father to two young daughters who are the most precious part of my life, i know that we see ourselves with friends and co-workers at a holiday party like the one in san bernardino. i know we see our kids in the faces of the young people killed in paris. and i know that after so much war, many americans are asking whether we are confronted by a cancer that has no immediate cure. well, here's what i want you to know, the threat from terrorism is real, but we will overcome it. >> reporter: the president declared that isil or isis will be defeated and he outlined a series of steps that have been taken in terms of the united states military effort in iraq and in syria, also getting more contributions from our allies in the president also though made it clear that we are not at war with islam. and spoke quite passionately about the importance of not vilifying muslims talking about muslim americans as being patriotic americans. >> it's our responsibility to reject proposals that muslim americans should somehow be treated differently. because when we travel down that road, we lose. >> the president did call for some action from congress, including passing some gun legislation which really doesn't have much of a chance of passing at all in the face of republican opposition. he also called for congress to pass an authorization for the use of military force in iraq and syria. this is something that the white house called for a year ago, still hasn't happened. and frankly, there still isn't much action in congress towards that. jonathan karl, abc news, the white house. the presidential candidates were quick to respond to the president's speech last night starting with marco rubio who people are scared because president obama is overwhelmed by these terror attacks. and he's not easing their fears. among one of the tweets from gop front-runneris this. is that all there is? we need a new president fast. >> democratic bernie sanders says american troops should not be engaged in perpetual warfare in the middle east. as isis is destroyed, it's essential that fear and division does not undermine constitutional rights. hillary clinton told abc news the u.s. is at war with isis and that war is not yet won. >> san bernardino public health employees are returning to work this morning for the first time since their colleagues were killed in the shooting rampage. meanwhile, fbi agents made two trips to the home of syed farook's former neighbor and friend accused of purchasing two of the murder weapons. here's abc's cecilia vega. >> the investigation into that deadly shooting turning to the a enrique marquez, far rook's one time friend and neighbor suspected of supplying him with those two high-powered rifles used in that massacre. the fbi raiding the home. >> did he provide the guns to farook. >> mark kes now reportedly will checked himself into a mental health facility. >> they keep to themselves. they're very neighborly. all their children, they're good kids. >> reporter: this neighbor says she noticed a change in farook about a year ago. >> before he started to change, what was he like? what's the biggest differences? >> the biggest difference was his dress, his beard. he was more withdrawn. he started growing more beard and he started wearing his white thing, you know, the long drape outfit, whatever it is. and so he did start changing. >> reporter: but no one says they noticed any warning signs of the terror that was to come. >> i never saw them talking about guns or anything like that. suspicious. >> reporter: this new photo of farook as a baby with lis family. his sister and brother-in-law say they too are angry for not knowing farook and his wife were living a double life. >> reporter: do you feel like you didn't know your brother? >> no, at this time, i feel like he had a double life. i feel like he was very good at concealing everything florida all of us. >> reporter: but his father telling italian newspaper his son was fascinated by isis, hated israel and that he shared ideology of isis leader al baghdadi but other family members take issue with that connecticut and farook's sister and brother-in-law tell me that they are in complete shock. disbelief they say. they went to his house. they never saw weapons or anything suspicious. they say they are grieving now for all of the people who died right here behind me. cecilia vega, abc news, san bernardino, california. >> an apparent lone wolf terror attack striking london, as well. the suspect stabbed two people station. witnesses say he shouted this is for syria. cell phone video captured it all. police brought him down with a taser and he's now charged with attempted murder. british authorities are investigating the attack as a terrorist incident. >> now to that police shooting in broad daylight on a miami beach street. the killing of david winesett outside of a barber shop was captured on cell phone video. police say that he had just escaped from a prison halfway house and tried to rob a bank. he then ran into the barber shop, grabbed a straightening razor. he was shot twice during a confrontation, according to police. a full investigation is under way into the deadly crash of a small plane in southern california. two people were killed when the plane went down while attempting to take off. about 17 miles northeast of l.a. among those who died were a famous aerobatics pilot named mike mangold, also a commercial pilot for american airlines. the airport where the crash took place remains closed. it was a real mess at a connecticut after a car was driven straight into the lobby. the man behind the wheel was a guest at the hotel who fell an asleep while driving. and ended up smashing right through the front doors. no one was hurt and the driver is facing multiple charges. incredible scene there. coffee addicts in some seattle neighborhoods can now get their starbucks fix without leaving home. the company's teamed up with a third party delivery service for the pilot program. customers can place their order right from their smartphones and it shows up on their doorstep a little while later, but richard, there's one big buzz kill. the delivery fee 6 bucks and that doesn't even include tip. >> okay. >> would you do this? >> unfortunately at this time, investigators are still waiting to talk to him because they haven't been able to. he checked himself into a mental hospital shortly after that shooting rampage and so what we know at this point is his name, enrique marquez. officials believe he bought the assault rifles used in the attack. however, they're still trying to figure why he bought them and how they ended up with the suspect. a suspect right now but at least at this point because again, they're still waiting to talk to him. >> we know the fbi taking the lead on this investigation. what do we know from investigators there right now? >> they say hundreds of fbi agents, local police and the sheriff's deputies are working around the clock on this case as you can imagine. we know they've conducted raids. they've removed several evidence items from several locations. and they're still talking to eyewitnesss but whatever they gathered and whatever they learned this weekend, we will learn later today. there's a press conference scheduled for noontime l.a. time. officials will give us an update at that point. hopefully, we'll learn more. >> such a strange story, isn't it, in so many ways. >> just the fact that his own family didn't know that he led this double life. >> the more you try to understand it, the further you get away from understanding it. >> abc's elizabeth hur, thank you so much. >> the republican presidential candidates wasted no time address. donald trump tweeting, is that all there is?
