After i heard the gunshots, i run to the window and i said, gabby, ariel and i cant hear anything. And i hear my neighbor across the street saying, carter, your baby. Carter, your baby. Reporter eight months pregnant, carter was jolted out of bed and out the door. My baby was slumped in the doorway. And my baby was on the step. Reporter the bullet went through her brain and there was nothing doctors could do. He had was fro pronounced dead ten days later. What makes her tragic death more difficult is a community that has remained largely silent despite the award for the arrest and conviction of her killer swelling to more than 75,000. Unfortunately that does not seem to have incentivized many people in the community. We have not received many phone calls. Reporter carter gave birth to a boy a week ago and named him king gabriel after his baby sister. She struggles with the unimaginable grief of tragically losing a child. Gabby and her younger sister slept together every night even though each had their own room. Both are seen in this video celebrating their birthdays and what would be the last one for gabby. Make a wish and blow your candles out. Reporter and when the story first broke, we talked about Surveillance Video from a nearby building that captures the moment gabby was shot. And i asked the chief if and when that will be released. He said portions of it will only be released if absolutely necessary. At this point, he said we have not gotten there yet. Cosby was back at a norristown courtroom today for an evidence hearing. Cosby is charged with drugging and molesting anconstand at his home in 2004. His lawyers are asking for a change of venue saying the entertainer cannot get a fair trial in montgomery county. The time has come for somebody somewhere to shine a spotlight on the trampling of this mans civil rights and that time is now. I believe we can get a fair jury here, and were going to go through that and deal with that as we are in each of the mowings this case. Motions in this case. Prosecutors also want 13 of cosbys accusers to testify at trial. The judge didnt rule whether those accusers could testify or if prosecutors could use cosbys deposition and a recorded conversation with constands mother at the trial. Philadelphia police have not yet named the offduty officer involved had a shooting inside his northeast philadelphia home. The 19yearold victim is the officers son. Police say the two got into an argument on the 2700 block of taunton street at 6 30 last night. Police commissioner richard ross says investigators have still trying to figure out if the shooting wasventional intentional. Right now the officer has not been charged. The son is in critical but stable condition. The two men charged in connection with the shooting of an Atlantic CityPolice Officer appeared in court this afternoon. Investigators say at least one suspect fired shots when two officers interrupted a robbery in progress on saturday. A third suspect was shot and killed by police. Reporter the federal government which has been investigating the Technical Institute decided they would not pay approximately 580 million in federal aid to the school. Itt was accused of being financially irresponsible and falsely advertising 100 placement rates. So they advertise that youre gonna get a job as soon as you graduate. You know, you end up not getting a job. You know, youre still stuck where youre at. Reporter she showed up a the Levittown School to get a copy of their transcripts but it was a ghost town inside. 8,000 employees nationwide will also lose their jobs. Porter says shes walking away with 45,000 in student loans. When i first signed up, they said, oh, youll have one loan. I ended up after graduating, i had three loans. Reporter the department of Education Today said current and recent students could be eligible to have their federal loans wiped away or they can transfer their credits to a school like Bucks County Community college. Students can actually start as early as september, which is this month, a little bit later this month, and we also have october starting courses. Reporter itt had 35,000 students enrolled. Theyve been operating for 50 years in 138 communities in a statement, they said, we believe the governments action was inappropriate and unconstitutional. Its a shame. I feel for myself and other students like me, because we have to look for other schools now. Reporter students who were currently enrolled in itt tech or who attended here within the last 120 days could be eligible for that federal loan forgiveness.
