We wish there a whole new work week brought a whole new world on the roadways, brian and sharrie but no, same old delays like the one here on 95. A less than magical car ride home in the northbound lanes as you can see it from this point at the vine on up towards cottman avenue, just a lot of normal heavy afternoon traffic that were used to pretty much every weekday afternoon. On the big picture were having some traffic light troubles in University City along schuylkill avenue at walnut street and theres a crash to avoid in lower merion along 23. That of course is conshohocken state road at princeton road. With the waze app last half hour i mentioned the crash in cheltenham township 611 old york at spring avenue is still a scene you want to avoid. Theres another downed tree, this one is in abington township along woodland road near valley road but crossing into bucks county the crash we had in Bristol Township as well as the Police Activity at the motel there in the langhorne area, theyve both cleared out so those roads are reopened. Go ahead and use them. But on the northeast extension if youre coming southbound trying to exit at quakertown theres a crash there now on that off ramp partially blocking a ramp. Still have the downed tree in kennett township Chester County along norway road atwood ward road and crossing into delaware still very slow speeds as you come off the delaware Memorial Bridge from new jersey. Youre hitting a wall of traffic. Just 5 Miles Per Hour because of that ongoing work sewn as you travel through new castle on 295. If youre heading into delaware from south jersey this afternoon i would do so via the Commodore Barry bridge instead of the delaware Memorial Bridge. One more thing. Another set of downed wires in Laurel Springs camden county. You want to avoid beach avenue near locust avenue. Well check it again brian and sharrie coming up in the 5 oclock hour. All right, matt thank you. Next on action news, dishwashers have already rated on how well they wash but how about their ability to dry . A weaponry received there and found on the scene but we do know that no officers were injured in this situation but the gunman has been injured and taken to the hospital. All right, we will revisit meteorologist adam joseph right after this. Weve had about a half of range early this morning. The sun returned this afternoon and winds are really starting to whip up. Near 40 miles an hour so far for your gusts in philadelphia, reading at 47. So far clocking in at 48 miles an hour in wilmington, 43 millville and Atlantic City, 36 miles an hour and these winds will continue to increase as we go into the evening and early overnight hours. Temperatures with that sun, its pretty warm with that west wind. 67 philadelphia, still near 70 in millville as well as the Atlantic City airport and dover but a bit cooler to the north and west with temperatures now in the upper 50s to near 60. Satellite and radar we have one low pressure near boston, another one near syracuse. The two are merging. As the two merge, thats whats funneling in the winds from the west on the western side of these Double Barrel low pressure centers so as that low continues to depart, the winds increase overnight, wind advisory is in place turning clear, 35 to 41 degrees with those westnorthwesterly winds sustained 15 to 30 but again gusting as high as 50 miles an hour. That low pressure is a beast here in northern parts of new england and eastern parts of canada tomorrow. High pressure coming in from the west so we still have that wind tunnel effect. 56 is your high tomorrow, lots of sunshine but winds still about 15 to 25 miles an hour. The exclusive accuweather 7day forecast, were in the 50s tomorrow but wall to wall sunshine, much cooler than today with those gusty winds. The winds will relax on wednesday, mostly sunny, 60 degrees. A mild thursday, early sun giving way to late rain. It rains thursday night into friday morning. Then drying out. Sun returning friday afternoon. A mild high of 68 degrees and then breezy, much cooler, a shower on saturday, 57. Just 49, some really cool air coming in the second half of the weekend into early parts of next week. Sharrie. All right, adam, thank you. It is time for whats the deal . You expect a dish washer to clean your dishes but what about how well it dries them . Consumer reports tested different models and also has some tips and tricks to get your dishes drier. Wet dishes from the dishwasher. Not necessarily something you think about when buying a dishwasher. But Consumer Reports finds some dishwashers dry better than others. We actually rate dishwashers on how well they dry. After testers load the dishwashers up with grime mee plates and cusp kicked with all sorts of tough to clean foods, they also place two plastic cups insides the top rack of the dishwasher. We use plastic because its harder to get completely dry. After the cycle is finished testers check the cups. This one still has a lot of water droplets, this dishwasher gets the cups relatively dry. Manufacturers use different pledgets to dry dishes. Some use heating coils, others use a fan, others heat the water um at the end of the cycle and use residual heat to dry dishes. Consumer reports finds that you cant tell by the drying method which dishwasher will do the best job at drying. Some good choices, a kitchen aid for 1,000 that offers excellent drying and cleaning and a bosh for 700. It cleans just as well as the kitchen aid and offers very good drying. Whatever dishwasher you have, Consumer Reports recommends using a rinse aid. That will help get your dishes even drier. Rinse aid helps break the bond between the water and the dishes plus it helps prevent spotting. These tips will also help you get your dishes drier. When loading, place the dishes so that they dont touch. Try using the high heat option on your dishwasher and as soon as the cycle is finished, open the door a crack and allow the moist air to escape to help with drying.
