Lets go on over to karen rogers to look at traffic and dave murphy to look at accuweather. Good morning. Cool and refreshing on the terrace. We have the the promise of plenty of sunshine coming over that some coastal clouds. Taking a look at satellite and radar you can see where most of the region is expecting the sun. There is additional cloud cover welling in from the ocean later and coming up from the south and we do expect the sun this morning to give way to a good deal of clouds later today. 58 degrees is the current temperature on the terrace in philadelphia. 52 degrees in wilmington, just 47 in allentown. 53 in trenton. 51 in reading and 62 down in cape may. So, jackets required just about everywhere across the region. Later tonight more rain is possible and tomorrow also looks occasionally damp. As does friday. Its a long period where we get into the damp conditions and ill have details on all of there coming up with future tracker6 and accuweather. Karen. All right, dave. Its been awhile since weve been talking about a few days with some rain so not this morning. Youre okay this morning. Peres won the philadelphia Liberty Medal in 1996 and the Nobel Peace Prize two years earlier and was one of the last living Founding Fathers of israel which declared its independence in 1943. He was 93 years old. Lets talk a little bit about the weather. All right a little bit. How about more than a little bit. You got three minutes, go. Storm tracker6 live double scan right now shows us were drive as we take a look outside we got sun coming you have over the horizon this morning. Thats a cool picture. Weve got some sort of bird there, black bird possibly sitting on top of what is that some sort of a vent or something. Thats the platt bridge in the distance on the left and you can see how yeah theres a few high clouds around but generally speaking the sun is coming up for the birds and you, too. 58 degrees currently in philadelphia. Dewpoint at 56, not all that humid out there. Winds picking up a bit out of the northeast at 6 Miles Per Hour. And as we take a look at future tracker6, yes, well start out with a good deal of sunshine but as we go through the day you can see how clouds sweep in. By 4 oclock its much more cloudy than it will be this morning and there might be a couple of little nuisance sprinkles and showers around too. More of the same by 8 oclock tonight. Later tonight were looking at some steadier rain but well start to pinwheel around an axis of precipitation to our west. How far east that comes as we go into thursday is a little bit in question but it does look like through the evening hours anyway if you have plans and specifications to be out umbrella or some sort of a hood thats water resistant might be a good idea in case you get caught in one of those lighter showers locally. 59 degrees by 8 oclock under the sun and then the clouds increase also a the temperatures go up. 67 by 10 oclock, 72 by noon. Your high today is 75 degrees right there around 3 oclock. And then by 5 oclock, 72. We probably are pretty much socked in with clouds again maybe a nuisance sprinkle or light shower around this afternoon. 75 degrees in philadelphia. More of the same in allentown, reading, wilmington and trenton, 74 in millville and down the shore a high around 72 in most coastal communities. Then we come into work tomorrow morning and it does look like weve got that heavier rain setting up out to the west places like allentown berks county maybe even parts of Chester County could be seeing some of that. As we go through the day on thursday it does look cloudy and somewhat damp but right now anyway it would appears though an upper level low is far enough to the south and west of us where most of our heavy precipitation is in those Western Areas and not so much to the east. Then we get later into tomorrow night and thats when there is the chance of a spoke of this energy coming in and through the day on friday we could be looking at some off and on showers there as well. The pattern here, well, weve got there area of low pressure setting up to the south and west. We do have an easterly flow coming in around this area of High Pressure so that is going to inject moisture into the atmosphere today really tonight and then tomorrow and friday and we are looking at some rain. Those areas out to the north and east of philadelphia not a whole lot, about half inch of rain. That may be what we get in the city as well but down to the south and west you see that bulls eye thats where we could go two to 3 inches of rain unfortunately for most of the region the heaviest rain staying outer to the west because of the position of that home it is going to be gusty tomorrow though with winds coming in gusting as high as 45 Miles Per Hour down the ocean and maybe 35 in philadelphia. So look for it to be windy tomorrow. Anyway sun giving way to clouds in your sevenday forecast. Late day and evening rain is possible. Probably not all that heavy locally. 75 is the high. And then windy tomorrow, rainy at times, a high of 69. The heaviest rain probably to the west but well have to keep watching that tomorrow. And then friday cloudy with a few showers around, 70 degrees, most of these will probably be light but it could be kind of damage on friday. Then on saturday mostly cloudy 73. Yeah, a chance of some showers but not as many as friday. And sunday looks almost completely dry. Clouds and sun, just a slight chance of a popup sprinkle or shower and theyre going to try and get some racing in at dover this weekend. I think friday is a little iffy but saturday and sunday should be mainly okay. What else . Temple football on saturday, phillies, rosh hashana on sunday night. That explains all those little icons. Thanks, david. Breaking details on a crash we have been telling you about all morning long. An out of control car slammed into a house in new jersey and struck and killed the homeowner along the way.
