Today georgia had its first case involving a 66yearold woman. The centers for Disease Control now has more than 300 cases of the fungal meningitis with 23 deaths now linked to the outbreak. Health Officials Say they expect even more cases in the weeks ahead. A man who has been going around groping women may have stuck around in fairfax county. He may have struck again. A woman with a baby stroller was near south maple avenue when a man grabbed her from behind. He ran away after the woman screamed. Investigators are trying to find out if he is the same man who is linked to five other groping incidents in the springfield area last month. Two teenage brothers are charged in connection with the death of a girl in clay top, new jersey. 12yearold autumn pascual was last seen alive on saturday. She was riding her bmx bike. Her body was found overnight in a recycling container. It appears that she was strangled. The motive is not clear but police say the suspects may have wanted the girls bike. The brothers are 15 and 17 years old. Tonight the family of a 2yearold girl who was killed by her 12yearold foster brother is outraged at the sentence that boy received. The Prince Georges County judge ordered the boy to go into therapeutic foster care, not juvenile detention. Jackie bensen reports, the 2yearold childs grandmother revealed information late today that might have changed the outcome of this case. The week before her death, i was approved to get her. Just a week that they had called me and told i was approved to get her and this happened. Reporter the judge said she believes the boy, now 13, did not understand that the blows he inafflicted on his 2yearold and did kill her. Noting he had never been in trouble, judge have the judge ordered him into what she called therapeutic foster care. She specified that he be the only child in the home. A developing story in bethesda. The Emergency Department at sbubian hospital is closed right now because of a small leak of freon. That leak is coming from the schooling system in the hospital basement. All the offices on that level of the hospital have been evacuated. Officials at Suburban Hospital say no patients are being affected. Again, no new patients are being admitted to the emergency room at suburban right now. A woman was arrested, kicking and screaming after leading police on a wild highspeed chase across two states today. Police are still piecing together exactly whammed. It all started on instate 66 in virginia and ended in Montgomery County. About 11 30, at speeds at times of more than 90 miles an hour. Along the way police say that 27yearold angela tried to stop at the Naval Support facility in bethesda that is now part of walter reed. Shots were fired by police after she tried to injure an officer. The Montgomery County police eventually caught up with her near rockville park a short time later. There were cops everywhere. They were all trying to make sure that she wasnt going to get up and run or anything like that. Police say the driver was chewing on a bar of soap during the wild ride. The officer hurt during all this is expected to be okay. The Chesapeake Bay bridge is back open now after a hazmat situation that had it shut down in both directions earlier. A tanker truck carrying 9,000 gallons of propane fuel sprung a leak. It happened just east of the bridge on route 50. The lanes were closed for about an hour. Reporter hundreds of Campaign Signs are being removed from maryland roadways, medians and interchanges. They say whether an open house sign, a political sign or a sign for a weight loss hotline, anything illegally placed within state rightofway will be removed. You could say theres a party going on around here. The democratic party. The republican party. And the independent party. If you have a question, we have questions. In fact, both sides of the question. Maryland voters differ over whether the political signs should be removed from the roadways. Somebody needs to remove them. There are a lot of signs everywhere. A law passed last year i am a to keep abortion providers from getting medicaid money for any medical services. The Appeals Court ruled that indiana cannot enforce that law. A federal judge made a similar ruling on friday in arizona. More than a dozen states have taken steps to eliminate funding for planned parenthood over the last two years. People who live in Prince Georges County may soon have more power over what types of businesses are opening up in their neighborhoods. The county council is considering a proposal that would allow the public to weigh in before a Fast Food Restaurant and a nightclub or a liquor store opens up.
