I was diagnosed as stage three mehta stackic Breast Cancer and so i had six major chemo treatments because after i had my messectomy they did a pet scan before you start treatments and they found out i still had some cancer in my chest wall which was hence the metastatic and so they pretty much bombed me out with chemo and then i had 34 radiation treatments then i had eventually had the reconstruction but the reconstruction failed ended up having al together i had like non surgeries. Before you went through all of this, and that is a daunting you know course that you just laid out. Were you somebody who exercised regularly . Were you somebody who would find themselves at the gym . Yes. How much did all of that and we can only imagine interrupt a major component of your life . Completely interrupted my life. It just puts you at a dead stop you know . You basically are at the mercy of the next step. Its like okay what do we do now . Its shocking. You know i listened to so many people say i also own a hair salon so i listen to people all day long tell me story about this one that got cancer and that one and it just would have never dawned on me in a ever possibly happen to me. Having gone through thin credible tough journey, what do you say to those that might be undergoing the same things and looking for hope . This too, shall pass. Thats probably the first thin thing. First up democrats right now its a tight race nationally. Little hill ill is in the lead with 47 and bernie standers close behind with 46 . And my how things are changed in this race. And lets look at new york. Obviously that matters more rights now. Clinton has 53 compared to sanders at 39 and those numbers come from real clear politics and poling average that were looking at. And delegates coming up and sanders ha one of the things we look at week to week is we keep saying especially with democrats who is up and who is down weeks ago i wrongly said that that was probably going to be the end for Bernie Sanders and here we are, it is april 17 and were still talking about Bernie Sanders and were still looking at a very serious possibility he might take this new york primary. Bob, why has the Clinton Administration stumbled here Clinton Campaign i should say not add purse yet she would like it to be but not yet why do they stumble in new york when everything you thought about where the clinton was start to surge now seems to be kind of biting them in the back. I think Clinton Campaign seems a bit rattled. They did not think we would be in mid april in new york and they have to fight for new york so hard and hes got momentum right . He has momentum. When you met with them this week what was his tone and dem mean or. Trump comes off kongy and self assured was he worried about this. I asked about head to head with Hillary Clinton not so good now he said thats a different race but his demeanor was serious and hes so close to getting that. And he still has to finish strong and if he does not he ma does he have operation here me this city right now though . That can go down on south capital street to rnc and work with themthon other campaign were talking about because previously you need to know the rules. Trumps organization has to have people in there to figure out what the rules are. You know, we heard this chatter that maybe Trump Organization or Trump Campaign does not have boots on the ground and what they need. I think theyre playing catchup and they recently hired paul and another senior aid and so right now the teptions are so raw between Trump Campaign and rnc and this is antiestablishment move. Thats exactly it you know thats his play book. I wonder is it sour grapes he can turn around and say the moves are unfair. If he won colorado it would be exceptionally fair. They have been out there for sgloz its not a new thing this is response to the move in colorado and its strategic and you know i think there were voters responded to it and it plays into the message are the voters getting the voice they need the elector rat he stand into and its well played. Hes not off base either theres an effort here stated that there are going to be you know some very careful decisions made by rules committee and also delegate allocation as far as what was forward here the likes of which we have not seen in probably 40 years now at least in a republican race. Moving on well look at local race right now. Hotly contested maryland u. S. Senate race. Democratic candidates Chris Van Holland and Donna Edwards continue to go neck and neck in the polls. Right now donna is leading 39 according to arm of polls helen is right there at 38 and its a sea saw race weve seen in this race. Now, when we look at van she was retiring after i believe she is longest serving woman in the history of congress both in the house and senate and assumed by a lot of folks assuming Chris Van Holland would be put forth by party and here comes Donna Edwards after not serving that long in the house to challenge him. Veronica we talked a lot about the force of womans vote here. Donna edwards has i have to say probably surprised a lot of people who thought Chris Van Holland had a Natural Advantage in this race. Why is she running so strongly in a race that people thought Chris Van Holland would dominate from the gecko. Its electricing if you look interesting if you look at their records theyre very close how do you differentiate two cap dwaits similar views and reports and voting records as i said. So, it seems to be in this race unlike the president ial race between sanders and clinton the identity politics is working with voters and kengting with voters and that i may be in part because shes replacing longest running u. S. Senator. That feels like something that matters to the voter. Bob theres other things going on in the race. Donna edwards was drafted to this race. Organizations like and really made successful effort to get her into this race. Theres been other interested to come in and support donna as well. Is this a smaller scale version atop of the ticket where this struggle for what the Democratic Party is rights now. Yes, because edwards has gone after van holland saying hes not progressive enough. Van holland has a Campaign Cash edge and a lot of money and more endorsements. Its interesting, too, van holland president obama not endorsing this race and tight with nancy pelosi and the congress gretio gretional black caucus did not endorse edwards because they have good relationships with ran holland. This is close. April 26. Up coming it will be single digit race and its so true in this one it will come out to turnout. Chris van holland also used to run House Democratic campaign effort. This is effort to knock off Chris Van Holland because hes known as effective fundraiser and voice in this dem caikt party. You see him on the sunday talk shows all the time. Hes polished politician and he is likable. And as is edwards and thats why the race has gotten a little nasty and gone back and forming and i think over the next week or so it will get worse. But i think this is establishment versus you know socalled im more progressive candidate. And thats become the discussion within the de watching on the hill. We will be back. He had a strong week and capped it off with appearances on Late Night Television and had a step towards making cruz more likable. Is he changing conversation that much that cruz is now this likable gop establishment candidate words that i never thought i would be saying but of the hill because this race is his to grab on to and possibly win. And on the bottom, were looking at john kasich. You know he picked up that hes just one state you know what is he here for and what he is doing . And what is the end game . And does it hurt the parties . As the go along and start awarding these delegates to people not named donald trum it seems to suggest that theyre not giving any of those delegates to john kasich that says vring you need to know got delegate race. This delegate race is pull into the garage at this point. Kasich bob isnt he happening around right now to be in cleveland and see if things blow up. Its his home state obviously in ohio that Ohio Governor you know seems like every state other than ohio which he did win he is battling for second. New york, same situation. Hes not going to win new york. He should have done better in michigan than he did.
