The victims body was found in the back yard. His wife and child were taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries. The potential for a little bit of accumulating snow north of the triangle and the line is farther to the north. We will addivist this towards midday. The rain line is getting closer across parts of wake county. Still freezing precipitation to the north. Rain. Later in the day 40 in the triangle and that freezing rain continues to lift northward and then an all rain event with the system for tuesday. And tuesday, at this point, this might be an Early Morning rain and then done for the rest of the day. So definitely weather coming our way. As far as the impacts out r. D. U. , most of the models saying less than an inch of snow. To the north. Roxboro, an inch to an inch and a half, and the outlier saying 3 1 2 inches there. So were looking at the now from i85 and points northward, one to three inches is possible. Around the triangle and Roanoke Rapids less than an inch. It will start as a wimmer a mix and transfusion a rainy vent to the south. So again impacts will be mainly felt off to the north and west, at least the greatest impact. Winter storm watch until 4 00 from moore, wake county, the criteria is three inches of snow and a halfinch of ice. Were not going to see either one of those. I would not be surprised if it goes back to a Winter Weather advisory. Temperatures in the low 30s. That is a concern. The first flakes that fall, we are cold right now. Wedont see it melting on the roadways to start. They are going to stick. Keep that in mind. Snow versus sleet, that will quickly transition to sleet and more of the sleet in the triangle versus more snow around roxboro. We typically see that, too. And flooding is a question mark. I think the snow line could be farther to the south. Regardless the mix line will be Going Forward throughout the morning hours. By midday the rain line up to wake county. So we might start for a few hours with sleet and freezing rain. Probably more sleet than freezing rain and then snow and quickly changeover to rain and that freezing rain continues to lift northward and the air temperatures continue to warm. And pretty much after the afternoon rolls through an all rain event until tuesday. Our models inhouse not showing much at r. D. U. For snowfall. Generally a half inch. And in roxboro, the models are showing a halfinch to an inch and a half. The outlier is saying 3 1 2 inches. The way it is playing out here is i85, north of that one to three. We are leaning more towards one than three. And then less than an inch through the triangle. And again, because that fairly quickly. If it doesnt we could get an inch or snow. And then mainly a rain event to the south as the transition happens much earlier in the day, you will not see the accumulating precipitation there. And now advisories or watches for you. Moore county, wake county and Warren County a winter storm watch in effect. The criteria is three inches of snow and a half inch of ice. We will we will not see this in many of the counties. This might get downgraded to a Winter Weather advisory. Weather issues. The soil temperatures in the 30s so the snow will stick. Snow versus sleet, sleet doesnt stack like snow, so lesser amounts there. More sleet in the triangle and more snow in person county. And flooding, question mark, i dont think that we will have issues here. Minor flooding is possible. The rain will melt has snow and one to two inches of precipitation. So in north hills seeing the high clouds. It is cold, the temperatures teens and 20s. If feels like Single Digits in many areas where the breeze is up. So bundle up.
