Here in wham wollard county not far from houston ranchers battled to save cattle after a pasture flooded. Now, heavy rain and severe thunderstorms overwhelming areas north and northwest of houston overnight. This was around 5 00 oclock yesterday evening. Police say the woman who is 20 years old was jogging against the red light when she was hit. She was taken to einstein in extremely critical condition. In delaware county, authorities had to fish out a car from a creek. It happened in darby creek just off west chester pike in havertown around 6 00 this morning. The driver the car was taken to penn presbyterian hospital. No word on their condition. Crews have recovered that vintage airplane that crashed into the hudson river last night killing the pilot. The single seat world war ii plane went down on the new jersey side of the river. It was around 7 30 last night. The body of the pilot identified as William Gordon was recovered just a few hours later. The plane was taking part in an American Air Power Museum celebration. The pilot had 25 years of experience as an air show performer. Police are looking for two men responsible for a deadly shooting in southwest philadelphia. It happened around 3 00 this morning on the 6600 block of upland street. Police say they found a trail of blood in the area. They followed it. And they found the 26yearold man a few blocks away. He had been shot multiple times in the chest and leg. He later died at the hospital. Police say the victim was selling drugs when two unknown men came around the corner and opened fire. Some delaware homeowners have a neighbor to thank for catching a burglar in the act inside their home. Nathan kennedy was charged with burglary and related offenses after officers say police rolled up on him inside a house on smauleys dam road in bear, delaware, that was yesterday. The neighbor called police after seeing lights on inside the house. The neighbor new something was wrong, because they knew the homeowners were away. When police came to the house, they noticed a broken window, and officers say kennedy came out of the house but he went back in when he saw them. They went inside and got him. The World Health Organization says there is no Public Health justification for postponing or canceling the olympics in brazil. The decision comes even though there are lots of concerns over zika virus. The Health Organization statement came today one day after 150 Health Experts submitted a letter to the Un Health Agency calling for the games to be delayed or relocat relocated. The letter cited evidence that zika virus causes severe birth defects and that it can cause neurological problems in adults. The experts also noted the number of infections in rio de janiero have gone up despite increased efforts to wipe out mosquitoes. So the control efforts for this disease in rio are not working, and even brazils own government admits that. What weve seen is a spike of 600 in mosquito born illness in rio in the first part of this year compared to last year. Thats very worrisome. But the World Health Organization says at the moment, canceling or changing the location of the olympics wont have much effect on the spread of zika around the world.
