Investigators say, sunday night, in west philadelphia, three trans women were held up at gunpoint. And monday night a man was shot to death coming to the aid after transgender friend, who was being robbed. Police say both incidents occurred after dates were arranged on the website backpage. Com. Descriptions of the gunmen are similar, but police cannot confirm a connection or a shared motive at this point. Alvarez, woman, long Time Community activist, says regardless whatever was going on at the time these trans gender women were victimized, police need to take these crimes seriously.
