LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) â The holiday travel rush is not what it normally is, but in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic, it is more than officials were hoping for.
2020 airline travel in the seven days leading to Christmas is down 60-percent compared to the same time period in 2019, according to data from the Transportation Security Administration.
âWe expect we will see more travel than normal, but compared to previous Christmas times, travel is slower,â a spokesperson with Blue Grass Airport told LEX 18 News.
