a little cooler than yesterday, but still up in the eighties downtown sky Can. The nights are going to be very mild with the South wind blowing out there 71 degrees south Wind, 15 humidity, 51% Now tomorrow morning sixties giveaway to seventies. I do expect some clouds tomorrow, and there's a chance for an overnight thunderstorm. It looks like better chances West and north. Look at this beautiful northern Iowa sunset. Great colors out there tonight. Hope you had a chance to enjoy now 81 today. That puts us the third warmest on record for the date. The all time record. 86 In 2000. We did hit a little warmer than today, back in 1991. So third place. Not bad. 16 and 1982. Little line of storms developing one of these fairly strong over in South Dakota will zoom in. These may catch northern Iowa overnight, but this activity in Nebraska will try to head in the central Iowa so you might hear a rumble of thunder around 23 in the morning that moves out, then the afternoon mostly activity looks to stay north. The more widespread shower and thunderstorm activity. There could be evening, but it looks to be Wednesday morning. One round pushes through. Then Wednesday afternoon storms developed. Some of these could be stronger. Rotate around that low, and that's when our heaviest rain will arrive Wednesday night into Thursday. And at times it looks to be fairly heavy, especially up in northern Iowa. So rain tracker through Wednesday afternoon. Not that much, but then look how it explodes as all that moisture rotates around that system. Many locations over an inch and a few spots may tally two inches of rain. You can see it looks to be heavier north of Interstate 80 especially up along Highway 30 with lighter totals down to the south. It's all depends on where that area of low pressure kind of pivots around 60 degrees tonight. A chance for a few thunderstorms out there tomorrow. Generally dry, breezy warm. Mostly cloudy 76 south winds 10 to 20 town to town and aim 76 Osceola, Mostly cloudy skies. The south breeze will be blowing through a Bedford tomorrow. Highs in red oak at 76. A chance for those afternoon thunderstorms. Esther Ville, Storm Lake 75 Hampton, Clarion. Mostly cloudy skies mid seventies, and then Newton 77 a pretty nice day in Bloomfield, almost 80 degrees. Here's the eight day forecast again, a little bit of activity overnight, maybe tomorrow evening, north also. But then Wednesday a couple rounds of storms, then rain. Widespread Thursday, especially north. Half may linger Friday. If it slows up, it could hang out till Saturday. But it looks right now, like Friday, then dry it off for the weekend and cooling off next week.
