Another luxury lifestyle hotel, the Tokyo EDITION, recently opened in Toranomon, Tokyo. The district is changing drastically as the Toranomon-Azabudai Project is underway. The hotel entrance and lobby is located on the 31st to 36th floors of the 38-story Tokyo World Gate building standing over Kamiyacho Station on the Hibiya subway line, only one stop away from the most vibrant and entertaining district of Tokyo, Roppongi.
As with other EDITION hotels in 10 cities across the world, all detailed aspects are the vision of hotelier guru and co-founder of New York’s iconic night club Studio 54, Ian Schrager. Under his supervision, guest rooms were designed by acclaimed Japanese architect Kengo Kuma. I’ve never seen a hotel submerged in more than 500 highly sought-after plants of about 25 varieties - you can almost feel like you’re lost in a rainforest. It’s certainly one-of-a-kind, where Studio 54 is alive.
