Village View: Memorable wins in the Oscars ceremony

If you missed Sunday’s 93rd Academy Awards ceremony, you missed a memorable event. ABC began covering the arrival of stars on the red carpet at the site for this year’s celebration, Union Station in Los Angeles. The producers of the Oscars had decided against Zoom, so the show was mostly live - with some taped segments, like the nominated songs.
Every year I try to see as many of the nominated films as I possibly can. This year, I spent a lot of time in front of my television set, renting or calling up on Xfinity and Netflix as many of the nominated films as I could. Since I never left my house because of COVID-19, I filled a lot of my time in watching movies.
