Wang Yi: Chinese and Mongolian Foreign Ministers Reach an Eight-point Consensus During Talks

On July 27, 2021, State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi met the press together with Mongolian Foreign Minister Batmunkh Battsetseg after their talks in Tianjin.
Wang Yi said, Chinese and Mongolian foreign ministers have just concluded fruitful talks. The two sides reached an eight-point consensus on promoting the development of China-Mongolia relations under the new situation, continuing to fight the pandemic together, deepening exchanges and cooperation in various fields, etc.
Both sides agreed that China and Mongolia, as friendly neighbors connected by the same mountains and rivers and having a common stake, share more and more common interests and similar concerns. Both sides should adopt a long-term and big-picture perspective, proceed from the fundamental interests and well-being of the two peoples, and move bilateral relations continuously ahead along the fast growth track.
