Septa, patco, amtrak, and new Jersey Transit all on or close to schedule. All right. Thanks. This latest blast of bitter cold weather is only making matters worse when it comes to water main breaks. The city of philadelphia says it cant keep up with the complaints. Nbc10s matt delucia is live in northeast philadelphia with details on a new way for people to report problems to the Water Department. Tell us more. Reporter that solution for now is social media. The Water Department is getting so many calls for service that they cannot keep up. Take a look at this. Were here along caster avenue, raun street. A giant hole in the ground. One of more than 175 water main breaks this year. The Water Department is asking for patience and understanding at this time. They know that this is the time of year when water main breaks happen. They are definitely having trouble keeping up with all the calls. And the issues have been bopping up here in northeast philly. Manayunk, center city, pretty much everywhere throughout the city. So bad that calls to the Water Departments service line to report water main breaks have resulted in waits of two hours. Even then it might take hours, days, or weeks for a complete fix. On ripka street in manayunk, crews worked outside this home yesterday. Right by the end of it, waters been pouring out. Kept going and going and going. Didnt think much of it. Hearing today that the water wasnt working makes sense that somethings going on. Reporter the Water Department has received more than 1,000 phone calls since christmas day. An isis propaganda video features a man who grew up at the jersey shore calling for attacks on u. S. Soil. This is the video featuring a margate native that was released in may. James kauffman and four other people charged with the murder of April Kauffman will face a judge. Kauffman, a popular radio host, was found dead inside her home in 2012. Dozens of protesters turned out at the hearing for a convicted cop killer. [ chants ] the demonstrators want philadelphias new district attorney, larry krasner, to release documents about ronald casteels involvement in the case. Casteel was a senior prosecutor when abu jamal was convicted and was a Supreme Court justice during his appeals process. An unexpected outburst in a michigan courtroom during a sentencing hearing for former usa gymnastics doctor, dr. Larry nassar. That was a gymnastics coach who used to work with nassar. During his time as a coach, Thomas Brennan said he sent more than 100 girls to nassar for treatment. During his comments, he demanded that dr. Nassar, who was covering his face or looking away most of the day, look at the young women who were testifying, in the eyes. He didnt only deceive the girls which honest to god is the worst, what he does to these girls. But what you did to everybody else who trusted you and sent girls your way its disgusting. Brennan was in court to support one of his former athletes as she read her tearful testimony. Brennan stared at nassar with disgust. Brennan said he never knew what nassar was doing to the young women. Olympic gymnast Mckayla Maroney will not have to pay a 100,000 fine for describing her abuse by nassar. Usa gymnastics backed away from a threat to fine her for a post on twitter last year in which maroney talked about the molestation. The tweet violated a nondisclosure agreement she signed after receiving a 1 million settlement in 2016. In a statement, usa gymnastics said anyone who has been violated should have the chance to speak up without fear. The california parents accused of torturing their 13 children will be in court today. David and Louise Turpin are in jail on 9 million bail each. Investigators say the couple left their kids in squalor, had some chained to beds for years. Police arrested the couple monday when one of the daughters escaped and called 911. The children who range in age from 2 to 29 are hospitalized. Former white house chief strategist steve bannon will meet with Robert Muellers investigators. Prosecutors are expected to interview bannon before him testifying before a grand jury. Its unclear when the interview will happen. Bannon spent 11 hours with the House Intelligence Committee tuesday but avoided answering a series of questions, prompting a subpoena according to nbc news.
