Works kick off on Cessnock Pool Splash Pad
Not long after the pool season has finished up Cessnock City Council has kicked off works on the construction of a $1.5 million splash pad at Cessnock Pool.
Cessnock City Mayor, Councillor Bob Pynsent said this is an investment in our families and youngest residents.
“The splash pad is going to be an absolute hit with young children and families enjoying time at the Cessnock Pool. It will have everything from slides, fountains and tipping buckets. We’re also pleased it will be open for the 2021/22 pool season.”
The splash pad is included in the Cessnock Pool Masterplan which was adopted by Council in 2019 after significant contribution from the community. Council then set it sights on funding the splash pad and was quickly successful.
