Over the weekend, he unleashed a stunning new allegation, suggesting the fbi failed to stop the shooter because it was too busy with the russia investigation. Just days after visiting victims of the shooting, the president tweeted over the weekend very sad that the fbi missed all of the many signals september out by the Florida School shooter. This is not acceptable. They are spending too much time trying to prove russian collusion with the trump campaign. There is no collusion. And a description came out and we put two and two together. Me and my son. And we figured out what was happening. And what was going thank you your mind when this happen snd did you both find out at the same time . No she was home sleeping. At that point, i was panicstricken for her safety pip called the s. W. A. T. Officer back to get the police back to my home to check on her. And after all this happened, you got a chance to see nikolas. What did you say to him . Did he speak back . Did he say anything back . It was at the police station. They were going past us. And i basically, i went after him. I wanted to strangle him more than anything. And i just i mean, i wanted to say i tried to reserve myself. I said, really, nik . Really . Yelling at him. He mumbled something. I didnt hear. He said he was voir. He said he was sorry. I was furious. Heart broken. Devastated. I still cant process what hes done. This wasnt the person we knew. Not at all. And he was friends with your son. Yes, sir. How is your son holding up . Hes angry. Hes angry. Hes betrayed. Hes you know, hes upset. Furious. He was that school, too. He had friends at that school. He was at school that day. Nikolas texted your son. What were those texts like . He told my son he was going to the movies. And he said he had something to tell him. And my son pressed him, what sit . What is it . And he goes, nothing bad, bro. That was it. He said he was going to the movies. The last text my son got was, um yo. That was it. That was about 2 18, i believe. Do you have any idea why he texted your son . No idea. No idea. Who are trying to do the right thing. They took this young man and got him into another school. They got him a job. They brought him into their home and tried to show him love. If they get sued, somebody tries to find fault with them, this young man, their own son. Hes part of the community. He wants to get back to the school. They want to go back to their lives. They want people to know because nik was at their house, they want to tell people everything that they know, including the fbi and all Law Enforcement. They is cooperated from day one. There have been so many reports about nikolass alleged social media use. Killing small animals. Posting about guns. Did you know anything about that . No, we knew he had one instagram account. That my son had. I guess that would be the normal one. The other ones he had, we had no idea about. My son had no idea about. As far as the animal killings, he didnt do anything like that at our house. We have animals. He loved our animals. Our animals loved him. You were aware he had weapons . Absolutely spp. Where were they kept . Before he moved in, one of the stipulations was he had to get a gun safe. We got one on the way to move his stuff to our house. He didnt have free access . No, i thought i had the only key. And had he ever asked you beforehand to use a gun, to take it out of the safe . He asked twice. Once, i said yes, because he wanted to chien it. And i dont know which gun he wanted to clean. I said okay. The other time he asked, i said no, it wasnt a good time. Why did you tell him no . I dont know what the situatisic situation was in the house. It wasnt a good time. I dont know if we were leaving or sitting down to eat. It wasnt a good time. You had no problem with him having a weapon . No, not at all. He fold rules. He fold the rules. He fold the rules. They were not allowed to be out if we were not home. If one of us wasnt home. He knew that. To our knowledge, he never had them out. As far as the animals goes, im an animal person. There is no way i would let anybody in my house if i thought he was torturing animals at all. I had this wealth of material start coming my way the past couple of years. Youre so humble. We spoke with you that morning when the Oscar Nominations came out. You had just hit town for the broadway show. Is it all settled in . I remember being emotional. Greta got the to nominations for director and screenplay. That hit me. That afternoon, i was able to go to the first day of rehearsal for three tall women on broadway, working with glenda jackson. It was an incredible day. How about the oscar nominees luncheon. I have always seen this. The iconic picture. This is the lass of 2017. I never it never occurred to me how it had to be organized. 200 people got up on those rows. They literally call you up, one person at a time. And every Single Person gets recognized. What theyre nominated for. There are 200. It takes about an hour. But, and at the end, youre all arranged up there. It was a great celebration. And, to recognize everybody individually like that was really special. As it should be. As it should be. Yeah. I gotta tell you. One of my favorite films this year, lady bird. I wanted another day with my mother, may she rest in peace, i wanted a day with her to sarks i get it now. I have had mothers and daughters say, they have seen the film together. They have a miniepiphany. Theyre able to see each other through a different lens. For a second. Then they go back. That behavior is dug down deep. But, thats how the way that greta crafted that movie. Its magical in that way. And the characters are so compl complex. Every character is threedimensional. From saoirses character on down to the drama teacher. Theyre all supporting lady birds journey. Its a jengentle, beautiful fil. Ets see bait of it now. I thought you didnt care what i think. I still want you to think i look good. Okay, im sorry. I was telling you the truth. You want me to lie . No, i mean i just wish i just i wish that you liked me. Of course i love you. But do you like me . Oh. Oh. I know. I know. You have four children. Two daughters. Zoey, your oldest, is going with you to the oscars. Yes, shes on Young Sheldon right now. Its incredible. Oh, yeah. Thats your daughter i play mary cooper. Jim parsens mother. On the spinoff, shes Young Sheldons mother. So were playing the same i did not know that was your daughter. Im bag fan of hers. Seriously. Shes found more ways to come over and do her laundry at the house again. Shes there quite a bit. I thought that the writers did a terrific job of making the stories just like they were in the day. You know, theyre all about the family dynamic. Yes, were in 2018. The Conner Family is. You wonder what theyve been up to. Get a sense of that, but its still just comes down to the family. Theres new characters. Because the kids have kids. And theyre in the show now. It was, um, surreal to revisit it again. Because it was like no time had passed at all, even though 20 years had gone by since we had all been in the same room together. Thats true family. Sflit was. And you are. Thank you, lawyer prip youre one of those people we just cheer on and root for. Your talent is showing. I did not know that was your daughter. Oh epiphany. Lady bird is this theaters now. Coming up, the cast of the coming up, the cast of the hit disney show [narrator] look around. If our world isnt stuck in the past, why is Higher Education . I just remember how much watching these disney shows influenced my life. The thafact that we could be th role models for other kids is exciting. Youre doing it. My kids watch. You stories. How is it for you, being a young man, knowing youre expanding peoples horizons a little bit . I think andi mack is so amazing because its so diverse, it makes diversity normal. Cyrus happens to be jewish. Happens to be gay. Those are just facets of his personality. His store i have real and valid. It shows that all of our stories are valid. Any kid watching can turn on the tv, and see andi mack and see a story that they understand. They can go, oh, thats me. You can relate to it. Its expanding horizons. You both play mother daughter. Yes. And lilan, this show spans three generations. You want parents to watch the show with their kids . Sometimes when im out and about. Ill meet kids that are fans. And after i take a picture with the kid, the mom comes and go, and i love this show. And its so much fun because, i can tell that it has a personal impact. Its not just the show that is for children. Its not just a show for adults. Its a show that is for families. And, think you get more value about with the show where you can talk to your mom or you can talk to your brother. Or another.
