You have folks out on errands, youre home alone and you can wrap the gifts and others are looking for bargains. You may find some issues with selection. Less selection. Especially wrapping paper. I was in the store last night and you can barely find any of the wrapping paper, things line that. Most people who are tank care of that stuff have done it already. Now, the retailers are indeed a bit happy about this. We understand that 126 Million People across the country are doing shopping between yesterday and today. For their Christmas Gif so here is a list of the stores that are going to be opened late so that will accommodate that lastminute shoppers. Target stores theyll be closing at 10 00. News4s Darcy Spencer spoke with neighbors in reston which is shocked by the family tragedy. Reporter Fairfax County police retu attorney and her husband were murdered. Flowers and candles dropped off by friends and neighbors line the end of the driveway. They were very friendly and kind people. Reporter a quiet vigil were held across the street. The couple who just moved in months ago are gone. Buckley kuhnfricker was killed along with her husband scott when they confronted a teenager known to them at 5 00 in the morning on friday. Police tell us that 17yearold also shot himself but survived. He remains in the hospital in critical condition. Now police have obtained petitions charging him with these murders. Many were thinking of the frickers young son who was seen playing basketball in front of the house. Its hard to imagine, he doesnt have parents anymore. And i cant imagine that christmas will be the same for him kuhnfrickers mother told news4 that her 16yearold granddaughter was seeing a boy who is a nazi sympathizer. They found out the nazi stuff this past week and they forbade their daughter to see him again. Reporter the daughter posted on facebook a reference to her personal battle against the nazi ideology. The only thing that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing. That was her last post. In 2019, local band students will return there for a dday anniversary commemoration. Reporter with military like discipline they practice hours upon hours, days, weeks, years even. The band is preparing like no other. Not just representing herndon or representing virginia, but representing the United States of america. Reporter in june of 2019, 165 students will travel to france. Normandy beach. Theyll march as part of commemorations for the 75th very of the dday invasion. With the trip more than a year and a half away the band is feeling the impact for all their practicing for. The sound of music going beyond the band room and into the community. Reporter a herndon alum, angie goff, headed to the Museum Dedicated to lieutenant herndon. His heroics led to his becoming the name sake of the town and the ship. The uss herndon led the armada of some 7,000 allied vessels at normandy in june of 1944 an effort to take europe back from the germans. They had to go up and down utah and omaha beach very, very enemy was posted. Reporter this woman is working to keep the ship and the crew members memory alive. Decades passed but the emotion resurfaces. These guys were pretty much all told they were going to die. Reporter its believed the herndon fired the first naval shots of the campaign and no shots touched it. This is what the band members will be wearing when we march.
