Montana on Saturday added 89 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the state s total number of active cases to 1,031.
The state has had 1,598 total deaths related to the virus and 108,015 recoveries counted over the course of the pandemic. There were 63 active hospitalizations and had been 5,154 hospitalizations in total.
Cascade County on Saturday reported eight new cases of COVID-19. Cascade had 229 active cases, which was the largest number of active cases of any county in the state. The Cascade City-County Health Department said earlier this week that most of the county s active cases were among people ages 20-40, a group that also has shown lower vaccination rates. Great Falls Public Schools reported 21 active COVID-19 cases districtwide as of Friday.

Montana on Thursday reported 129 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the state s total active cases to 1,098. Nearly 20% of the state s active cases are listed in Cascade County.
There have been 1,597 total deaths from the virus and 107,734 recoveries, which is 159 more since Wednesday. There are 66 active hospitalizations out of 5,138 total hospitalizations, and the state has administered 3,940 new tests since Wednesday.
Cascade County reported seven new cases on Thursday. The county, which has 219 active cases, has the highest number of cases compared to any county in the state. GREAT FALLS â With people as young as 12 now eligible to receive Pfizerâs COVID vaccine, Alluvion Health in Great Falls is preparing to host a vaccine clinic.
Alluvion plans to partner with the Cascade City-County Health Department to offer vaccines to people from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday, May 21 at the Montana ExpoPark.
They expect to have least 1,500 doses available. The Pfizer vaccine is given in two shots. People who receive their first shot at the May 21st event will receive their second shot on Friday, June 11th.
