Cascade City-County Health Department:
Health Officer Trisha Gardner says Cascade County is working closely with health providers in getting as many vaccines as possible.Â
So far, the health department has gotten an average of 1,600 doses weekly made up largely of Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, and they have been getting a small amount of Johnson and Johnson vaccines for now.
The Cascade City-County Health Department announced that it is immediately lifting its mask mandate and 75% capacity restrictions following a second week of a COVID-19 case rate at or below 10 per 100,000.
In February, CCHD stated that if the county maintained a case rate below that threshold for two consecutive weeks it would lift the COVID-19 restrictions in Cascade County. This week, the county reported a rate of 9.6 per 100,000. Please be mindful that now, although lifting restrictions is a good sign for our community, businesses, schools and other agencies have the right to implement stricter requirements to protect their stakeholders and staff, wrote the CCHD in a press release Wednesday.

Gov. Greg Gianforte on Tuesday announced all Montanans age 16 and older will be eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine, beginning April 1. Before we can fully return to normal, it s critical that the COVID-19 vaccine is available to every Montanan who wants one, he said, adding that the vaccines are safe and effective.
Gianforte reported 42 of Montana s 56 counties have active cases in single-digit numbers, and three counties have more than 100 active COVID-19 cases. Our approach is working, he said.
Montana has administered 367,211 total doses of COVID-19 vaccine, and 142,490 Montanans are fully immunized, meaning they received both shots. In Cascade County, 15,735 residents received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine, and 9,425 residents are fully immunized.
Montana added 151 new cases of COVID-19 and one more death on Monday, while the number of people fully vaccinated against the virus surpassed more than 140,000.
