Karen Angela Dunne-Maxim, 80, a former long-time resident of Princeton Junction, New Jersey, passed away on Wednesday December 30, 2020 in Arlington, VA. Ms. Dunne-Maxim, a psychiatric nurse by training, was an internationally-recognized expert in suicide prevention and a tireless advocate for destigmatizing loss by suicide. She was a pioneer in recognizing the need for and addressing the unique mental health treatment needs of the survivors (family, friends, and colleagues) of a suicide who were often left alone to deal with the most profoundly difficult of all bereavement experiences. She was one of three editors of the groundbreaking book, “Suicide and Its Aftermath: Understanding and Counseling Survivors” (W. A man died as a result of jumping off the Interstate-95 bridge into the Piscataqua River on Thursday, according to the New Hampshire State Police Marine Patrol.
The man, who was not identified, was driving on the I-95 bridge that connects Maine and New Hampshire when he allegedly stopped his vehicle around 9 a.m. and jumped into the Pisctataqua River below, according to Marine Patrol Sgt. Steve O Connor.
The man was recovered from the river by a military boat that patrols the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in the area, O Connor told Seacoast Current. Persons on scene began administering CPR on the man until Marine Patrol arrived on scene, per O Connor.

It’s not “relying on government” – it’s demanding that government
stops creating the conditions that lead to increased suicide risk.
There is a general belief in the US that government/economic systems are neutral, so when people demand change, they are “relying on government to solve problems”. But in reality, calls for change are merely calls for the government/economic systems to stop hurting and killing people.
