Man Dies After Jumping From I-95 Bridge Into Piscataqua River

A man died as a result of jumping off the Interstate-95 bridge into the Piscataqua River on Thursday, according to the New Hampshire State Police Marine Patrol. The man, who was not identified, was driving on the I-95 bridge that connects Maine and New Hampshire when he allegedly stopped his vehicle around 9 a.m. and jumped into the Pisctataqua River below, according to Marine Patrol Sgt. Steve O Connor. The man was recovered from the river by a military boat that patrols the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in the area, O Connor told Seacoast Current. Persons on scene began administering CPR on the man until Marine Patrol arrived on scene, per O Connor.
