Anchor University speaks on abduction of DVC, Prof Fatokun

The management of Anchor University, Lagos, owned by the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, on Wednesday, confirmed the abduction of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Johnson Fatokun, saying contact has been established with his abductors and that the lecturer is in good health.
In a statement by the Assitant Registrar, Strategy and Communication, Okesola Sanusi, the university management said it was working in conjunction with security agencies to ensure Fatokun is released as soon as possible and in good health.
“The management of Anchor University wish to confirm the abduction of our Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Prof J.O. Fatokun. He was abducted in Nasarawa State on Monday, 18 January 2021 on his way from Jos, where he had gone to attend to family duties.
Deeper Life School: Court commences trial behind closed-door
The alleged sexual abuse of an 11-year-old boy in a school dorm has attracted huge public interest.
The trial of
the Deeper Life High School sexual abuse case commenced on Wednesday in Uyo, with the magistrate court holding its proceedings behind closed-door.
Two students of the school, both of them 13 years old, accused of sexually molesting a fellow student, an 11-year-old boy, are being prosecuted by the police.
Five officials of the school, including a suspended principal, are also on trial.
An official, said to be the court registrar, asked people, including lawyers, who were not parties in the case, to leave the courtroom before the proceedings began.
