Windsor Regional Hospital will be one of seventeen hospitals in Ontario to begin receiving doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine in the next two weeks, the province announced Friday.
Hospital officials say Windsor Regional will receive a “limited supply” of the vaccines but the exact number or the exact date for delivery is not yet known.
They say first group the Ontario government is focusing on vaccinating are employees who work at long term care and retirement Homes that are not in outbreak in Grey (lockdown) and red (control) regions in the province, including Windsor and-Essex.

Police pick up a 44 year old man following a reported dispute between neighbours on the city’s north side.
Officers responded to the call just before 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday to a hotel on Bay Street following reports of an assault that had just occurred.
The victim of the attack is being treated further for his injuries at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.
The charges against the Thunder Bay man include assault, failure to comply with a judicial release and breach of probation.

Police arrested a Thunder Bay man for assault following a reported dispute between neighbours on the city’s north side Wednesday.
Thunder Bay Police Service officers were dispatched just before 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 15 to a hotel in the 200 block of Bay Street following reports of an assault that had just occurred.
Police learned the victim had attended the accused’s room in the Royalton Hotel that evening to speak with him about an ongoing dispute. When the accused answered his door, he grabbed and assaulted the victim inside the apartment.

According to Wood, the family received a phone call from the home the evening of December 5, explaining that her 93-year-old grandmother had accidentally been given antipsychotic medication and various diuretics that morning.
She was taken to the emergency department at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre where she spent one night before being returned to Roseview.
Wood said the family was allowed in to see her because she was termed end of life.
