A clinic spokesperson says that they have a vaccination plan ready for administering vaccine to the 1,700 patients they serve but are limited by the small number of doses they are receiving from Indian Health Services.

One day after Gov. Greg Gianforte announced he would repeal directives that limit restaurant, bar and casino capacity and hours of operation, Montana reported 431 new COVID-19 cases and eight additional deaths. Gianforte on Wednesday said existing health mandates were harmful to the state s businesses, according to The Associated Press. Former Gov. Steve Bullock required restaurants, bars and casinos to close at 10 p.m. and limited their capacity to 50%. Bullock also limited public gatherings where social distancing isn t possible to 25 people. Gianforte announced on Wednesday he would remove those limits as well. Gianforte s new directives will take effect Friday.

Montana COVID-19: State adds 629 new COVID-19 cases, 10 deaths Wednesday

The state added 629 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, bringing the total number of cases to 74,644. The state reported 10 COVID-19 deaths overnight, one of which was listed as a resident of Cascade County. The total number of fatalities is 836. Montana has 9,071 active cases and 64,737 recoveries. There are 313 active hospitalizations out of 3,153 total hospitalizations.  Cascade County reported 41 new cases on Wednesday. The county has 1,299 active cases, 4,741 recoveries and 82 deaths from the virus. About 14% of the state s active cases are listed in Cascade County.  There were 42 active COVID-19 cases across Great Falls Public Schools, as of Tuesday. Riverview Elementary had the highest number with eight active cases. Sacajawea Elementary had six cases and Great Falls High School had five.
