Florida man arraigned in Erie County court on rape, predatory sexual assault charges

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) â A Florida man was arraigned in Erie County court Friday on an indictment charging him with two counts of predatory sexual assault against a child and two counts of rape in the first degree.
The Erie County District Attorney s Office says it is alleged that 57-year-old Rafael A. Rodriguez of Jacksonville, Florida engaged in sexual intercourse with two child victims who were under the age of 13 at a location in the city of Buffalo on April 20, 2017.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) â A Depew man and former New York State trooper was sentenced Thursday on rape and criminal impersonation charges.
The Erie County District Attorney s Office says 46-year-old Jason L. Lanning of Depew was sentenced to one year in jail followed by 10 years of sex offender probation. He will be required to register as a sex offender upon his release.
Lanning admitted to engaging in sexual intercourse with a female victim without her consent in the summer of 2016 at a location in the Village of Depew.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) â A Buffalo man has been sentenced for gun and vehicular manslaughter charges following a 2019 crash that killed his passenger.
The Erie County District Attorney s Office says 29-year-old Tremayne D. Brooks of Buffalo was sentenced Monday to a determinate sentence of three and a half years in prison followed by an indeterminate sentenced of one to three years in prison.
According to the DA, Brooks received the determinate sentence for his guilty plea to possession of an illegal gun which he will serve before beginning his sentence on the vehicular manslaughter charge.

Yanga faces a maximum of 25 years in prison for his crimes, which include five felonies, three of which are violent felonies, and two misdemeanors.

BUFFALO, N.Y. The Erie County District Attorney s Office announced on Monday that a 22-year-old Buffalo man has pled guilty to charges involving drugs, attempted murder, assault and robbery from four different criminal cases.
Tombe Yanga, who also goes by Tom Yanga, pleaded guilty to the highest charges in the four cases on Friday afternoon in State Supreme Court.
