Mangaluru: Body cameras to ticket examiners - KSRTC aims at transparency   Wed, Jan 20 2021 11:12:46 PM Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP) Mangaluru, Jan 20: With the objective of achieving transparency in the operation of ticket checking, Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has decided to equip their ticket examiners with body cameras. This will effecitviely put an end to allegations of partisan attitude and levelling of charges against each other. Body camera system was prevalent in Bengaluru Metro Transport Corporation till four years back. This system will be introduced all over Karnataka now. KSRTC, Northeast KSRTC, Northwest KSRTC will adopt the system in phases commencing from this month.

S Suresh Kumar, Primary and Secondary Education Minister, was witness to such an incident. On Saturday, Kumar was travelling from Bengaluru to Madhugiri ( Tumakuru) in his official car. At Koratagere, he saw many students waiting for a bus and to his surprise, he saw a bus speed away without stopping. Kumar asked his driver to chase the bus and stopped it, reprimanding the staff for not doing their duty.
