COLONIAL PIPELINE RESTARTS OPERATIONS: The nation’s largest fuel pipeline restarted operations Wednesday, days after it was forced to shut down by a gang of hackers. The disruption caused long lines at gas stations in the Southeast due to distribution problems and panic-buying, draining supplies at thousands of gas stations, such as the one above, in Lynchburg, Virginia. Colonial initiated the restart of pipeline operations late Wednesday, saying in a statement that “all lines, including those lateral lines that have been running manually, will return to normal operations.” But it will take several days for deliveries to return to normal, the company said. Syracuse, N.Y. Onondaga County and Kinney Drugs will hold an additional Covid-19 vaccination clinic for children 12 to 15 on Saturday afternoon after appointments at three other clinics for adolescents are nearly full, County Executive Ryan McMahon said today.
That clinic will run from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Oncenter. Appointments for that afternoon clinic must be made at Kinney Drugs website. That’s in addition to clinics today, Saturday morning and Monday.
The demand for vaccine among younger people comes as Onondaga County’s confirmed cases grew to more than 37,000. That means about 1 in 12 people here have tested positive for the coronavirus.

“You have everything,” she said, “to protect each other.”
But, Gupta said, there are serious caveats for those who are partially vaccinated or not vaccinated at all.
