A 13-hour police standoff came to an end Thursday afternoon when the suspect came out of his apartment, walked down the stairs and put on a helmet.
Seconds later the barefoot man was tackled by police and taken into custody. Riley Sills, 40, has been charged with second degree attempted murder.
Sills is the suspect in a Wednesday night stabbing that happened in the parking lot near his Town Creek apartment off West Deloney Avenue.

He was rushed to St. Johnâs Health and then transferred to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. The 53-year-old is expected to survive, though his exact condition was unknown at press time.

Samuel Brinkerhoff | Bonneville County Jail
IDAHO FALLS A Utah man police found sleeping next to an ATM will spend time on probation after getting into a scuffle with first responders.
Last week, Samuel Brinkerhoff, 21, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault and battery on certain personnel. Magistrate Judge Kent Gauchay placed him on 18 months of supervised probation.
As part of a plea agreement, a felony assault and battery on certain personnel charge was amended to a misdemeanor. A misdemeanor resisting arrested charge was also dismissed by prosecutors.
Gauchay suspended 223 days of a 270-day jail sentence for Brinkerhoff. The man had already spent 43 days in the Bonneville County Jail, which he was given credit for. Officials released him to probation last week.
