Lil Uzi Vert s Pink Diamond Implanted in Forehead Surfaces

Lil Uzi Vert wasn t joking when he told his fans via Twitter last weekend that he was in the process of getting a multimillion-dollar pink diamond implanted in his forehead. Early this morning (Feb. 3), a friend of Uzi s, whose Instagram handle is @rockdv, shared a screenshot of their FaceTime conversation on his IG Story, which shows the Philadelphia-bred rhymer revealing his latest blinged-out drip. Uzi s face is close to the screen and displays what appears to be a marquis-shaped pink diamond implanted in the center of his forehead. Uzi previously stated that the stone is a GIA (Gemological Institute of America)-certified natural diamond meaning it is natural, authenticated and not lab grown.

Diamond Council of America Appoints New Chair

Share Diamond Council of America (DCA), the nonprofit group that provides distance education in diamonds, gems, and fine jewelry, has appointed Iowa jeweler Chuck Kuba (pictured) as its chairman. He will serve in the role for two years. David Bonaparte, CEO of Jewelers of America, was elected vice chairman, along with Signet executive vice president of store operations Bill Luth. Dan Casanova, vice president of Riddle’s Jewelry, will serve as secretary and treasurer. Kuba is the president and owner of Iowa Diamond in Des Moines, which he runs with his daughters and granddaughters. A third-generation jeweler, he serves on the board of directors of Jewelers of America and is a past president of the Iowa Jewelers Association. He holds a graduate gemologist degree from the Gemological Institute of America, and a B.A. in performing arts management from the University of Nebraska.

RAPAPORT. The Women’s Jewelry Association (WJA) has chosen Susan Chandler, the chief merchandising officer for Citizen Watch America, as president-elect of its international board of directors. She will serve in the position during the term of office that runs from 2022 to 2023.  In her role at WJA, Chandler will help foster community, connection and collaboration within the trade, the association said Wednesday.
