Trial continued for Cambridge man accused of abandoning 16 dogs

Authorities initially believed the report would be available in late March or April. Guernsey County Dog Warden Karla Kerns said the Department of Agriculture is working with another agency to finalize the report. That report is why the trial was continued, said Kerns. Authorities were able to rescue 10 adult dogs and a puppy from the residence. All 11 dogs have been adopted, according to the dog warden. The living dogs were reportedly feeding on the carcasses. The dogs were seized on Feb. 22 after Kerns and deputies visited the home multiple times from Feb. 19 to 21 trying to conduct a wellness check. Neighbors reported they had not seen Graham since the first days of February.

Russell, 33, Cleveland, just before 2:30 a.m. Thursday. Selby is facing an assault charge in Guernsey County while Russell faces a felony offense for persons prohibited from possessing a firearm in Ohio County, W.Va.

The Daily Jeffersonian A Pennsylvania man accused of trying to sell illegal narcotics to patrons at a Southgate Parkway hotel Tuesday night is facing a felony drug charge filed by Cambridge police. Dylin C. Riggleman, 28, of Oakdale, is charged with single counts of aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, and receiving stolen property, a fourth-degree felony. The receiving stolen property charge was filed after officers learned a recreational vehicle allegedly driven by Riggleman had been reported stolen in Pennsylvania. Riggleman is also wanted on a warrant issued in California, but officials there declined to extradite him back to that state to face a weapons violation charge. He remained incarcerated in the Guernsey County Jail.

Two of the guns including a handgun mounted under the vehicle s dash were loaded. Another loaded handgun was found in a bag on the passenger seat. Officers charged the driver, Donald W. McCarty III, 34, of Inwood, West Virginia, with one count each of improper handling a firearm in a motor vehicle, a fourth-degree felony, and aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony.
