Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India] May 7 (ANI): A full state of emergency was declared for a non-scheduled flight at the Mumbai airport on Thursday after an air ambulance flying from Nagpur to Hyderabad suffered technical malfunction. The air ambulance was redirected to Mumbai, where it successfully belly-landed.
A Jet Serve Aviation C-90 aircraft VT-JIL was operating an ambulance flight from Nagpur with a patient on board. While departing, a wheel separated and fell on the ground. The aircraft landed in Mumbai and the crew confirmed they did a belly landing at 9:09 pm, as per a offcial statement.

Foam carpet is created on the runway by spreading foam using fire extinguishers so that the plane does not catch fire during an emergency landing.

NEW DELHI: An air ambulance lost a wheel during takeoff from the Nagpur airport Thursday, but safely belly-landed at the Mumbai airport on a foam carpet, Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said.

As many as 256 oxygen concentrators have arrived at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) from Singapore, weighing approximately 5,510 kgs, the private airport operator said on Wednesday.
Transported via Singapore Airlines, the first shipment landed in Mumbai on Tuesday and the second on Wednesday, consisting of 128 concentrators each.
