Bengaluru: Putting an end to speculation about the cancellation of class 10 and class 12 examinations conducted by state boards, Karnataka education minister, S. Suresh Kumar on Monday (May 17) said that the state government has not decided yet to cancel examinations of Class 10 (Secondary School Leaving Certificate - SSLC) and Class 12 (II year pre-university) examinations.

Putting an end to speculation about cancellation of class 10 and class 12 examinations conducted by state boards, Karnataka education minister, S. Suresh Kumar on Monday said that the state government has not decided yet to cancel examinations of Class 10 (Secondary School Leaving Certificate - SSLC) and Class 12 (II year pre-university) examinations.
In a statement released by the minister s office here, Kumar has appealed students who are appearing for SSLC (Class 10) and II year PU (Class 12) must not fall prey to any rumours or mischievous statements quoting him on any social media sites.

Bengaluru, May 13 : Amid the ongoing onslaught of the pandemic, Karnataka on Thursday decided to postpone the Class 10 (Secondary School Leaving Certificate - SSLC) state board examination.
Karnataka education minister, S. Suresh Kumar said in a statement released through his office that the fresh dates for SSLC examinations will be announced only after the ongoing Covid second wave subsides.

In wake of the coronavirus pandemic, the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) had last month cancelled the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE class 10) exam. ICSE Result 2021 will be based on the marks obtained in class 9 and class 10 by the students. The board is expected to announce the evaluation scheme soon for the class 10 result.
As per the media reports, CISCE has asked the schools to provide two types of marks – average marks of class 9 and the average marks of class 10. After that, CISCE will announce the assessment criteria for ICSE Result 2021.
