Coach’s comment: I’m nominating Robbie Lardner, varsity Pitcher THS for athlete of the week. On April 17, Robbie started on the mound vs. SLO High School. He pitched a complete game, 7 innings, gave up 0 earned runs, and struck out 18 batters. He also went 3 for 4 at the plate with a double and scored 3 runs. It was a total dominating game on both sides for him and definitely his best game of the season to date. What’s more impressive is he did this against a D1 school, THS is a D3.

–Authorities have arrested 51-year-old Marlinda Ann Croom of Atascadero on suspicion of drunk driving after she lost control of her vehicle on Monday while attempting to navigate a turn on El Camino Real in Santa Margarita and came crashing into a house.
A deputy from the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office was traveling northbound on El Camino Real from Santa Margarita when a white Dodge Durango Durango traveling in the opposite direction crossed into his lane. The deputy made a U-turn in order to catch up to the vehicle. The driver continued into Santa Margarita in the opposing lane and was unable to negotiate the curve at Highway 58 safely. The driver made an unsafe turning movement, losing control of the vehicle. The vehicle skidded across both lanes of Highway 58 and collided with a wood picket fence. The vehicle continued sideways, out of control, through tw
