Pakistan may grant two-year visa extension to Chinese nationals ANI | Updated: Apr 07, 2021 14:41 IST Islamabad [Pakistan], April 7 (ANI): Pakistan government is considering the possibility of giving two years visa extension to Chinese nationals working on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects. The government may approve a general two-year extension, a senior government official told The Express Tribune. He said that the Ministry of Interior has been requested to make a case for extension and bring it before the Cabinet Committee on CPEC. Meanwhile, Pakistan is also considering linking the visa period with the completion date of the multibillion-dollar project, which could end the requirement of seeking an extension, reported The Express Tribune.

PHOTO: AFP ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Customs cleared the first import-cum-export consignment for Gwadar Free Zone, consisting of metal scrap, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) announced in a statement issued here on Wednesday. The consignment by the HK Sun Corporation limited would be further processed in the Gwadar Free Zone, established under China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and later on items would be exported from Pakistan, the statement said. The consignment was processed and cleared by the Model Customs Collectorate, (A&F) West, Karachi and the goods reached the Gwadar Free Zone, regulated by the Model Customs Collectorate Gwadar.
