ISLAMABAD: In the foreign funding case, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Wednesday issued notices to 19 political parties on the request of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to check the funds of political parties.
A five-member benchheaded by Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja heard the PTI s request. Lawyer Shah Khawar appeared on behalf of PTI. On this occasion, the report of the Political Finance Wing of the Election Commission was presented to the Election Commission. The commission directed to hand over the report to the PTI lawyer. The ECP said, âYou can review the report and file your objections.â The Chief Election Commissioner said that notices were being issued to 19 political parties.

The opposition Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) held its major power show outside the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Tuesday to press for its demand for an early outcome of the foreign funding case filed against the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in 2014.
Addressing the rally, the PDM leaders, including Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Maryam Nawaz, Mehmood Achakzai, Aftab Sherpao, Owais Noorani, Raja Pervez Ashraf and others delivered hard-hitting speeches in which they particularly made Prime Minister Imran Khan a target of their trenchant criticism.
The leaders from the 11-party opposition alliance launched personal attacks on the prime minister accusing him of being “an agent of the Jews” who received funds from Israel and India. They repeatedly mocked the prime ministers with monikers like “Obedient Khan and U-Turn Khan” in their speeches.

ISLAMABAD: As the scrutiny committee of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) auditing foreign funding of the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf met for a second consecutive day on Thursday, the PTI said it was the only party that was managing its funds with complete transparency.
“PTI is the first party to have made a departure from the established practice of PML-N, PPP and JUI-F of receiving heavy donations from vested interest groups, land grabbers and other rogue elements and returning the favour to them at the cost people of Pakistan after the polls,” Information Minister Shibli Faraz told
