Amos was the first Black superintendent of Everman ISD, and the district flourished under his leadership, the district said on its website about Amos. He was unanimously voted into the position in 2015. Dr Curtis T Amos, Sr built a better Everman ISD, Tobi Jackson, a trustee on the Fort Worth School District board, wrote in a Facebook post. Dr Amos was an exceptional collaborator and always was an amazing partner. At Fort Worth SPARC, we were fortunate to be the recipient of his brilliant collaborative spirit, outstanding, principled leadership and support.

Oklahoma cowboy breaks collarbone during CNFR on Monday Dylan Riggins (Courtesy Oklahoma Panhandle State University) A contestant from Southeastern Oklahoma State University was injured on Monday morning during slack at the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper. According to a release from the CNFR, Dylan Riggins was competing in the bareback riding event when the horse he was riding fell and rolled over on top of him. According to an account from the Casper Star-Tribune, the horse reared up and “planted Riggins’ neck and upper back straight into the dirt” before landing on top of him. Article continues below. The CNFR says Riggins was attended by the sports medicine team and local emergency personnel before being transported to the Wyoming Medical Center for treatment.
