In a report, Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) of Santo Tomas said the body of Rovic Bonghanoy Estores, a resident of Purok 5, Sitio Santo Nino in Barangay Kinamayan was retrieved by responders at 10:35 am after residents in the same village spotted his body in a creek.
The MDRRMO responders found his lifeless body floating near the Lanatad Bridge. Rescuers said the body was already in the decomposition state.
According to the statement of the municipal government, initial report showed that Estores was among those who went in Purok 8, Barangay Pantaron to swim in Lunga-og river.

After a series of groundbreaking ceremonies in Southern and Central Luzon for its multi-purpose evacuation center (MPEC) project, Pagcor officially sealed its partnership with the local government units (LGUs) of Tagudin and Tadian by initially turning over a check for P25 million to each recipient LGU during separate groundbreaking ceremonies held last Jan. 22.
Pagcor said that the amount will kickstart the construction of the P50-million MPEC in each town. “Each MPEC has a provision for kitchen area, storage areas for relief goods, toilet and shower rooms for male and female, lactating rooms for nursing mothers, and a spacious badminton-court type area that may be used for sports events and other purposes such as trainings when it is not being used as an evacuation site,” Pagcor said.

DAVAO CITY – The relationship of Davao City with two Chinese sister cities proved useful not only during economic boom but also in the time of a health crisis as they provided support to the local government in its coronavirus disease (COVID-19) response, Davao City Investment and Promotions (DCIPC) chief April Marie Dayap said.

Dayap said that the city government received 8,000 pieces of face masks from Nanning Municipal People’s Government and 500 units of infrared thermometer and 3,000 pieces of personal protective equipment (PPE) from Jinjiang.
Aside from this, Panpan Food Company based in Jinjiang 1.1 million pieces of face masks.
