LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Feb, 2021 ) :Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid on Wednesday said the Primary and Secondary Healthcare department Punjab was providing free of cost diagnostics, treatment and counseling services to more than 11,500 patients of HIV/AIDS in the province.
This was informed by the Minister while highlighting importance of patient confidentiality at a seminar on Role of Media in HIV/AIDS Awareness at a local hotel.

LAHORE:The 13th Annual International Cancer Surgery Conference, held with the collaboration of Surgical Oncology Society Pakistan and Department of Surgery Shaikh Zayed Hospital, concluded at Shaikh Zayed Hospital Lahore on Friday. Eminent surgeons of Lahore and different parts of the world shared different aspects of cancer surgeries and their experiences.
A great cancer debate was conducted in the presence of Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid, Shaikh Zayed Medical Complex Chairman Prof Mateen Izhar, Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission chairman and his panel and suggestions were discussed regarding the need for cancer health facilities specifically the concept of one-roof facility entertaining every aspect of cancer patients. Dr Yasmin Rashid emphasised the need for working papers from experts to help the government identify means for improvement in cancer care.

LAHORE:Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid and Minister for Population Welfare Col (retd) Hashim Dogar chaired a meeting to review performance of different committees on family planning and way forward at the Population Welfare Department here on Thursday.
Secretary Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department Capt (retd) Usman Younis, Secretary Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Barrister Nabeel Awan, Dr Khurram Khan, Ali Babar from Population Welfare Department and Dr Zulfiqar Ali were present in the meeting. The officials of the Population Welfare Department gave a progress review and tabled suggestions to improve the performance.
