Mapúa joins global impact rankings for second year straight

Mapúa University has entered once again the global Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings. For 2021, Mapúa made it in the UK-based rankings alongside Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU), De La Salle University (DLSU), University of Santo Tomas (UST) and Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU). The THE Impact Rankings is the only global performance tables that assess universities against the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by using carefully calibrated indicators to provide comprehensive and balanced comparisons across three broad areas: research, outreach, and stewardship. De La Salle University (DLSU), University of Santo Tomas (UST), and Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) lead UniRank’s newest list of Most Popular Philippine Universities on Facebook, the social media platform which commands the widest following in the country. The three Manila universities topped Facebook page engagement and statistics in the UniRank Facebook University Ranking of all Philippine higher-education institutions based on a study in February 2021 and released in April.

Flexible learning, CHED said, is a “learner-centered approach that is deeply-rooted in the needs of the students” which should provide them with “most flexibility” while learning through the use of digital and non-digital tools. To ensure the safety of students and faculty, most HEIs are holding online classes as among the learning delivery modalities under flexible learning. However, this mode also poses challenges to professors in various private HEIs and State Universities and Colleges (SUCs).

UST? All Spanish established schools for insulares, peninsulares, and mestizos. You don’t need to be a doctor of anything to accept reality,” the action star wrote on his Facebook account, replying to a netizen who called him out for defending Sen. Bong Go who earlier claimed that Lapulapu was a Tausug who came from Sulu. Padilla’s claim was quickly debunked by history advocacy group High School Philippine History Movement.
