Ross Park Zoo Receives Long-Term Lease Extension from Binghamton
A 25-year lease extension has been announced between the city of Binghamton and Ross Park Zoo.
The Southern Tier Zoological Society operates the zoo and the associated park on Morgan Road on the city s South Side.
The announcement of the extension was made Thursday afternoon by Mayor Richard David and zoo executive director Phillip Ginter.

The zoological society has overseen the operation and maintenance of the Ross Park Zoo for more than four decades.

Mayor: Firm Still Interested in Buying Binghamton Business Park
A year ago, David announced Bowers Development intended to buy the properties for $1.1 million.
At the time, the mayor said the sale terms included a 12-month due diligence period for both Bowers and the city.
