Calderdale and Bradford: 29 men charged with sexual exploitation of girl Luke O Reilly
Twenty-nine men have been charged in connection with child sexual exploitation crimes against a young girl.
The men are accused of committing offences, including rape, attempted rape, indecent assault and conspiracy to rape, in Calderdale and Bradford between 2003 and 2010.
The female victim was aged between 13 and 20 years old at the time of the alleged offences, West Yorkshire Police said.
A force spokesman said: “The vast majority of offending occurred in Calderdale, but some offences occurred in the Bradford District.
“The men have been charged with a variety of sexual offences following an investigation into non-recent child sexual exploitation.”

Odi A MAN has been banned from keeping animals for five years following a prosecution brought by the RSPCA. Jordan Will Townend, 23, of Whinney Hill Park, Brighouse, pleaded guilty to two animal welfare offences. The first related to causing unnecessary suffering to his Bedlington terrier type dog called Odi by failing to give him pain relief which had been prescribed by a vet following a fracture to the dog s leg. The second offence related to failing to protect Odi from pain, suffering, injury and disease. Both offences are contrary to the Animal Welfare Act 2006. The court heard how Odi had previously sustained a broken hind leg in suspicious circumstances.
Surge in Covid fines issued by police - here s the latest Bradford cases MORE than 3,000 fines were issued by police in West Yorkshire for breaches of Covid-19 laws over Christmas and the start of this year, figures show – around three-quarters of all fines issued since the start of the pandemic. Figures published by the National Police Chiefs’ Council (NPCC) reveal a total of 4,125 fixed penalty notices were recorded as being issued by West Yorkshire Police between March 27 last year and April 18 this year. They include 3,064 fines after December 20 – 74 per cent of the total handed out by officers since the pandemic began. The figures also show the number of fines issued over more recent weeks, with 737 given out by officers between March 14 and April 18.
AN inquest has opened into the death of 19-year-old Muhammed Mujahid Hussain last week.
Bradford Coroners Court heard that on April 22, police were contacted in relation to disorder in the street. A short time later, the Bradford Royal Infirmary contacted police in relation to a gentleman who had been dropped off at the hospital with injuries, who sadly passed away. The inquest was adjourned as the police investigation into the teenager s death is ongoing. Hashim Sajjad, 19, of Wheatlands Crescent, Daisy Hill, appeared before Bradford Magistrates Court on Wednesday. It is alleged that the teenager murdered Mr Hussain late on April 22, following large scale disorder in Duckworth Lane.
