Hastings Prince Edward Public Health is reporting five new COVID-19 cases, and 11 new recoveries today.
There are now a total of 55 active COVID-19 cases between the two counties. Four of the new cases are listed as close contacts.
Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox and Addington Public Health added nine new cases of the virus today, for a total of 66 active cases.
The Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit is reporting one new case in Northumberland County. That brings the county to a total of 31 active cases.
All residents age 18 and older and including those turning 18 later this year, can now book a COVID-19 vaccine appointment.

According to a press release from the HKPRDHU titled “Influx of Vaccine Opens More Opportunities for Local Vaccination Appointments,” the mass vaccination clinic at Haliburton’s A.J. LaRue community centre will close later in May.
