Police A 24-year-old man caught breaching Covid-19 restrictions on three separate occasions has been fined at Enniskillen Magistrates Court. The court heard on March 12, 2021, at around 11pm police were called to an address in Maguiresbridge where there were reports a party was taking place. The officers were invited into the household and observed several people from different households mixing including the defendant, Christopher South, of Drumhirk Road, Lisbellaw. Covid notices were issued and the party was broken up with people leaving in taxis to go home. The court heard South had already breached restrictions in January of this year. In the early hours of March 13, police were tasked to Main Street, Lisbellaw to reports of another party. Upon arrival, they could hear music and voices.

Andrew Fisher, of Hudson Heights, Irvinestown, had been convicted of two counts of theft and one of possession of a Class-C drug on November 3 last, and was given an 18-months probation order. However, Fisher breached this order, and was described by District Judge Steven Keown of leading Probation Services “on a merry dance”. Fisher, who appeared at Enniskillen Magistrates Court on Monday, appeared to struggle to keep his eyes open as his barrister, Stephen Fitzpatrick, told the court that it was clear the 23-year-old had an ongoing issue with substance misuse.

Neill Armstrong (37), of Ardess Demesne, Kesh, faces causing GBI by dangerous driving, attempted GBH, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, namely a Stanley Knife, driving while disqualified and using a motor vehicle without insurance in relation to an incident on April 17, 2021. An officer told the court they could connect the accused to the charges and were objecting to bail. On April 17 at around 12.30pm police received a request for assistance in Ederney.

Man, 38, acquitted of criminal damage charge A 38-YEAR-OLD man has been acquitted of criminal damage at Enniskillen Magistrates Court. Nicholas Fee, of Castle Grange, Lisnaskea was facing the single charge on Monday in relation to an incident on December 29 last when it was alleged he damaged the front window of the house he shared with his partner at the time. Fee, who gave evidence in court, said that on the night in question he had been having an argument with his partner and she left to go to her car. However, Fee said because she had been drinking, he went out to stop herm and tried to take the car keys off her before she ran back into the house and locked the door.
