District Collector Adeela Abdulla on Tuesday directed revenue officials to restrict the number of tourists to 500 persons a day at the major tourism destinations in the district such as Pookode, Thollayiram Kandy, and Banasurasagar. Entry to the tourism destinations will be allowed only for those who have been vaccinated, who possess COVID-19 negative certificates and who have pre-booked their entry in those destinations.

The order by the DDMA, issued by Chief Secretary of Delhi Vijay Dev, comes a day after the Directorate of Education ordered that all academic and examination activities through physical mode for all Classes shall remain suspended with immediate effect till further orders.
