Deputies investigate fatal crash in Paducah ORIGINAL STORY (WSIL) The McCracken County Sheriff s Office has closed Friendship Road in Paducah s Lone Oak neighborhood due to a fatal crash. The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says a pedestrian was struck and killed near between Lakeview Drive and Seneca Lane. That is just north of Lone Oak Elementary School. Deputies say motorists should seek an alternate route until further notice while they continue the investigation. Stay with News 3 as we continue to receive updates on this developing story. By Marsha Heller | December 15, 2020 at 8:28 AM CST - Updated December 15 at 4:28 PM MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. (KFVS) - KY 1286/Friendship Road in Lone Oak reopened after a deadly crash on Tuesday. According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office investigated a deadly crash involving a pedestrian at the Friendship Rd. intersection with Kimberly Drive. Deputies responded around 5:45 a.m. They said the investigation showed that a 38-year-old Paducah man was walking on N. Friendship Road when a 2010 Chevrolet Malibu driven northbound by a 21-year-old Paducah man, hit him in the middle of the road.

(KFVS) - Interstate 24 was briefly shutdown in McCracken County early Monday morning, December 14 after a SEMI flat bed lost an entire load of lumber. The incident happened around 1:04 a.m. in the westbound lanes at the 12 mile marker. The SEMI was hauling 2x4s and 2x12s. The fallen lumber was scattered along a 50 yard stretch on I-24.

Sheriff s office: Suspect captured after pursuit

McCracken County deputies arrested a man with an outstanding warrant after a car chase Thursday. Around 11:15 a.m., deputies with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office were assisting Kentucky State Police in locating Edwin R. Draffen Jr., 43, at a business on Old U.S. 45 South. Draffen had an outstanding warrant for his arrest out of Hickman Circuit Court for failing to appear on multiple felony drug charges, according to the sheriff’s office. During the search, the sheriff’s office said, law enforcement saw Draffen driving a vehicle in the parking lot and ordered him to stop. Draffen began to elude law enforcement by speeding and almost striking a state police detective, the sheriff’s office continued. Draffen then exited the parking lot, traveling south on Old US 45. Draffen continued to elude deputies at a high rate of speed until deputies no longer could see him.

(KFVS) - The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office arrested Edwin Draffen Jr. on drug charges after a pursuit. On December 10, around 11:00 a.m., deputies with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Department were assisting Kentucky State Police in locating Draffen at a local business on Old US Highway 45 South. Draffen had an outstanding warrant for his arrest out of Hickman County Circuit Court for failing to appear on multiple felony drug charges. During the search, law enforcement observed Draffen operating a car in the parking lot and ordered him to stop.
