Deputies investigate fatal crash in Paducah

(WSIL) The McCracken County Sheriff s Office has closed Friendship Road in Paducah s Lone Oak neighborhood due to a fatal crash.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says a pedestrian was struck and killed near between Lakeview Drive and Seneca Lane. That is just north of Lone Oak Elementary School.
Deputies say motorists should seek an alternate route until further notice while they continue the investigation.

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. (KFVS) - KY 1286/Friendship Road in Lone Oak reopened after a deadly crash on Tuesday.
According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, the McCracken County Sheriffâs Office investigated a deadly crash involving a pedestrian at the Friendship Rd. intersection with Kimberly Drive.
Deputies responded around 5:45 a.m.
They said the investigation showed that a 38-year-old Paducah man was walking on N. Friendship Road when a 2010 Chevrolet Malibu driven northbound by a 21-year-old Paducah man, hit him in the middle of the road.

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. (KFVS) - Interstate 24 was briefly shutdown in McCracken County early Monday morning, December 14 after a SEMI flat bed lost an entire load of lumber.
The incident happened around 1:04 a.m. in the westbound lanes at the 12 mile marker.
The SEMI was hauling 2x4s and 2x12s.
The fallen lumber was scattered along a 50 yard stretch on I-24.
