A WOMAN has been taken to hospital following a crash in Bolton. The woman, who is in her 50s, was injured in the accident shortly after 8am this morning in Wigan Road, Deane. The North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) said that the woman s injuries were unclear at this stafe. Ambulance crews were called to the scene at 8.24am this morning. The A676 Deane Road was partially blocked due to the accident, which occurred near the Bike Shop. A spokesman for NWAS said: Reporting an RTC on Wigan Road, Deane. We have taken a woman in her 50s to hospital. Injuries unclear.
Emergency operation as nine-year-old falls while out near quarry
A CHILD had to be rescued after they slipped and fell while out walking. The Rossendale and Pendle Mountain Rescue Team were called to Jamestone Quarry, off the Grane Road, shortly before 3.30pm on Sunday. Originally, calls had been made to the ambulance service, who in turn called the MRT due to the location of the incident. A spokesman said: “The second call out of the day was received from the North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) shortly before 15:30, to assist with a nine year old who had slipped and injured themselves whilst out walking near Jamestone Quarry, off of Grane Road.

We re getting reports that emergency services are dealing with a serious incident on a housing estate in Chadderton, after being called out earlier today, April 12, 2021.
Police have been seen in attendance in the area, on the Crossley Estate.
Initial reports say North West Ambulance Service were also called out.
There is a police cordon in place around an area at the scene, with uniformed officers on patrol.
