Outbreaks continue with death toll rising across northeastern Ontario

The other three have at least one outbreak with the majority of outbreaks being in the Public Health Sudbury & District region. At the moment they are confined to the Greater Sudbury area. The Sudbury area has also seen a large number of their active cases resolved. Since Saturday, Jan. 30, Algoma Public Health has seen an increase of 16 cases in its region, going from 165 confirmed cases to 181. The active cases increased to 25, with 156 reported as resolved. The only ongoing outbreak in their region is at the FJ Davey House. It was declared on Friday, Jan. 29 after six staff members tested positive for the disease. The death toll for the health unit sits at two.
