A total
of 125 Northwestern Wisconsin residents tested positive for COVID-19, the state Department of Health Services reported Tuesday, Dec. 15.
The new cases were reported as follows: 54 in Douglas County; 14 in Ashland County; 12 each in Bayfield and Washburn counties; 11 in Sawyer County; eight in Rusk County; five in Taylor County; four in Price County; three in Burnett County; and two in Iron County.

The following information was provided Monday afternoon by local health departments and the Wisconsin Department of Health Services.

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services is urging families to avoid eating raw meat. For many #Wisconsin families, raw meat sandwiches are a #holiday tradition, but eating raw meat is NEVER recommended because of the bacteria it can contain, the department said in a tweet on Monday.
The department added that ground beef should always be cooked to 160 degrees.

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services reported 2,122 new COVID-19 cases Monday from 7,350 processed tests.
The processed test total was the lowest reported in 84 days.
The seven-day case total stands at 24,563, below November 18th’s record report of 45,946. The seven-day testing total stands at 78,084, below November 18th’s record rolling total of 133,019 tests. The testing total is filtered to only include individuals who were tested for the first time or have been tested previously but are receiving their first positive diagnosis.
